Performing in the World: Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Performing in the World provides the opportunity for young performers to gain first-hand experience as part of a traveling ensemble and valuable insight into life as a professional artist while also strengthening the quality of the performing arts at Andover.

This touring ensemble is designed for students with writing, acting, dancing, and or backstage experience. Participants will focus on the rehearsal process, where the ensemble will develop a shared vocabulary around points of inspiration, blur traditional theatrical roles, and experiment with movement motifs and improvisational techniques to create a narrative structure in which audiences can find meaning. We will take our production overseas and perform for an international audience at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, as well as take part in the festival as spectators and colleagues of fellow artists, many amateur and some professional.

Students must be part of the Theater & Dance Department's production in order to participate.
