Performing in the World: Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble Tour the Czech Republic
Music tours always combine a number of objectives: the opportunity to grow musically through multiple performances of the same repertoire, the opportunity to interact with local artists and communities, and the opportunity to participate in educational tourism and learn about historic sites and landmarks. On this tour, Andover students will perform three concerts, and will tour historic sites such as Lobkowicz Palace, old town Cesky Krumlov, and Terezin concentration camp. Tentative plans are in place to interact with the Czech National Wind Ensemble, and attend a performance of the Czech Philharmonic.

The Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble will tour the Czech Republic as an opportunity for Academy musicians to experience focused musical performances for new audiences and communities, while also interacting with two local arts organizations and learning about the history of the region.
