¡Relindo! Language and Cultural Immersion in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Designed for intermediate-level Spanish language students, ¡Relindo! provides students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in rich cultural exchange and Spanish language learning. Students will live with Argentine host families, attend language classes for 20 hours per week, and participate in cultural activities and excursions in the afternoons as well as weekends. Students will take classes in Academia Buenos Aires, the only Spanish school in Buenos Aires accredited by the Cervantes Institute. A partnership with Centro de Idiomas (CEDI) also allows for Andover students to engage in peer-to-peer language exchange and cultural sharing with Argentine high school students who are studying English. Some of the activities and excursions include: a tour of the city’s historical center, a visit to the MALBA Museum of Latin American Art, an empanada cooking class, tango dance lessons and tango performance, a tour of the world-renown Teatro Colon, a visit to an Argentine cowboy ranch, bike riding in an ecological reserve, and a day trip to the Historic Quarter of Colonia, Uruguay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
