Arctic Adventure: Ski Finland
We will be exploring Finland starting from Helsinki and traveling across the country to Lapland to do a week of cross-country skiing and other winter activities, such as husky sledding, reindeer rides and possibly downhill skiing. There is a good chance that we may see the aurora borealis (northern lights, we did last year) and we will have the week culminate in a cross-country ski marathon, either of our own design or one organized by one of the local ski clubs in Finland. Last year we skied in Rovaniemi which is the capital of Lapland.
This program is open to skiers of all abilities; skiing instruction will be offered prior to the start of the program.
