Summer Teaching and Administrative Faculty Positions

Each summer, Phillips Academy hires over 100 teachers, house counselors, and teaching assistants to work in the Andover Summer program. Our flagship on-campus offering, Summer Session, serves over 700 rising 7-12th grade students from all over the world, becoming a home-away-from home for students during their five-week residential experience. Faculty members come from Phillips Academy as well as from other institutions, ranging from local day schools and public high schools to colleges and universities across the country, with the goal of providing students with a rigorous academic experience, building students’ independence and self-sufficiency, and ensuring that students challenge themselves in the classroom, on the playing fields, and in the dorms. Summer Session is comprised of the Upper School program for students entering grades 9-12, the Lower School Institute for students entering grades 7 and 8, and the English Language Learning Institute for students entering grades 9-12 who are seeking extra support in building their written and spoken English skills. Summer Session students share the campus with students enrolled in the (MS)2 program (Mathematics and Science for Minority Students), helping to facilitate deep learning and connections across differences in race, class, identity, language, and geography.

Andover Summer also includes a 2-week on-campus morning program for local day students, Andover Advantage. More information about each of these offerings can be found on our Andover Summer page.

Please visit our application portal to learn more about these opportunities and to apply online. Full background check required. Phillips Academy is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a global, diverse and inclusive community.
