The Andover Teaching Fellowship Program

The Teaching Fellow program offers those yet to begin a professional career a program of guided classroom work, professional seminars, and exposure to the theories and methods of experienced teaching faculty. In considering candidates for the Andover Teaching Fellowship, the school values academic excellence together with competencies complimentary to the school's Constitution and Statement of Purpose and to the Academy's commitment to fostering a global, diverse and inclusive academic community. Teaching Fellows contribute to the culture of the school through their involvement in residential, multicultural, and athletic programs on campus. A select number of teaching fellows may be re-appointed for a second year based on departmental needs. Teaching Fellows receive a stipend of $30,000 plus insurance benefits and campus housing.

Review of applications will begin in January and will continue until all positions have been filled (typically mid April).  Please submit a completed teaching fellow application, resume, short essay, two letters of reference, and original college transcript(s) to Applications for the art department should also include a link to 15-20 examples of applicant's art. References and transcripts may be submitted under separate cover by positions post or via email to and will be added to the applicant's file. Full background check is required.
