Supporting Student Learning with Khanmigo

Andover is introducing Khanmigo, an AI-powered tutoring tool that provides personalized, subject-specific support for students, utilizing Khan Academy content library and learning platform. Ethically designed with safety and learning as top priorities, Khanmigo encourages inquiry-based learning by guiding students through questions rather than supplying answers. 

Khanmigo is designed to complement—not replace—face-to-face instruction or traditional tutoring, and its use is optional. Students should consult their instructors to discuss any planned use of the tool with to ensure it is appropriate for their course and discipline. 

Parents and guardians are advised that Khan Academy uses moderation technology to detect inappropriate, harmful, or unsafe content in Khanmigo conversations. When content is flagged, the system automatically sends an email notification and an in-platform notification to the adults associated with the student’s account in the platform, including members of Academic Skills Center, faculty teaching that student in any course during that term when content is flagged, or other administrators who provide support for students.

In cases where it is approved for use, Khanmigo could be a great option for getting extra help at times beyond regular school hours.

2026 Commencement

We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 beginning Friday, May 29, and culminating with Commencement Exercises on the morning of Sunday, May 31. For comprehensive information about prom, Baccalaureate, and Commencement, visit the Commencement webpage.

Taxi and Limousine Service Providers

For transportation to Logan (Boston) and Manchester (N.H.) airports or Boston’s South Station, arrangements can be made with private taxi and limousine service providers. A list of service providers regularly used by members of the PA community including information on greeter services for unaccompanied minors is available here. 

Shipping Packages to Your Student Policies

Please use our 180 Main Street address (see below) when shipping items to your student, NOT the street address of their dorm. Please use your student’s full formal name, no nicknames!

Students may retrieve mail and small parcels from their student mailbox. For boarders, large items are delivered to the common room of student dorms. Please review Mailroom Policies for what items cannot be accepted.

Families, join the Andover Family Directory today! Log in now using your Hive credentials. The directory is opt-in; families must log in to be visible to others. You can find tutorials on how to use the directory here. Should you need assistance with resetting your Hive log-in information, reach out to the Office of Technology Help Desk by email or call 978-749-4357.
