Family Giving
The Andover Fund is the Academy’s robust annual giving program. Each year, current PA families provide essential resources that enable the Academy to address its top priorities and most urgent needs.
Every donation is put to direct and immediate use—with unrestricted gifts offering maximum flexibility to strengthen financial aid, academic excellence, equity and inclusion, health and wellness, and other key initiatives across campus.
The Big (Blue) Picture
Andover Fund gifts are critical because they close the gap between the school’s endowment and tuition resources and the fiscal requirements of our learning community. This gap must be met to secure Andover’s mission to educate youth from every quarter—and each year more than 1,100 families give around $4.1 million to help make this possible.
With this collective impact, Andover Fund contributors embody the Non Sibi spirit to strengthen the PA experience. It’s an effort that unites generations of families and their students. In every way, Andover Fund donors empower students throughout their journey at the Academy.
The Power of Annual Giving
- Every family is asked to contribute each year at whatever level is right for them. Many parents of alumni also continue to participate.
- Gifts to the Andover Fund cover a meaningful 9 percent of the Academy’s annual operating budget.
- Last year, nearly 60 percent of gifts from PA families were between $1 and $499—totaling more than $105,000.
- A $100 current-use gift has the same purchasing power as a $2,000 donation to Andover’s endowment.
Some families additionally choose to support one or more of the Academy’s capital and/or endowment priorities, investing in Andover’s students today and future generations. For more information, please contact Rebecca Brewster, Director of Family Giving.

DEEPEN YOUR ENGAGEMENT: JOIN THE ANDOVER FUND PARENTS COMMITTEE
Parents and guardians can further their involvement and support by joining the Andover Fund Parents Committee (AFPC). In partnership with the Academy, this enthusiastic group of volunteers encourages fellow families to contribute to the Andover Fund. AFPC members also seek to strengthen Andover connections around the globe.
Andover Fund Parents Committee members serve a one-year renewable term. Responsibilities include:
- Connect with a small group of assigned Andover families (10-15) by phone or email throughout the year and invite them to make a gift to the Andover Fund.
- During Family Weekend, join the presentation on the Academy's finances and the impact of philanthropy led by the Secretary of the Academy and AFPC Co-Chairs.
- When possible, participate in virtual committee meetings, recruit additional volunteers, welcome new families, and represent Andover parents at regional Phillips Academy events.
We are currently seeking new members and event hosts for the 2025-2026 year! If you would like to get involved, please contact Katherine Solimini, associate director of Family Giving at 978-749-4583 or [email protected].
