Andover was the place where I first deliberately dedicated myself to studying languages (both classical and modern), so it made sense to return to the the very classrooms where my academic journey truly began. In Latin and Greek, we might call this structure a chiasmus or ring structure, and I appreciate the symmetry. Prior to returning to Phillips Academy, I taught classics and English at Middlesex School in Concord, MA for ten years, also serving as assistant head of Robert Winsor House. While at Middlesex, I was the head coach of the girls and boys alpine ski team, guiding them to two NEPSAC championships and two 2nd-place finishes, as well as seven ISL championships. Before embarking on my teaching career, I worked as a software engineer and music analyst at MediaUnbound, a digital music personalization company. I graduated in 2000 with an A.B. in Classics from Harvard College, and in 2009 with an M.A. in Education Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University.
