Jill Thompson

“It is wonderful to be a part of a community where students, faculty, and staff can feel comfortable being who they are.”

Jill B. Thompson, Director of Admission, joined the Andover faculty as a teaching fellow in 2004 and the admission team in 2005, becoming director of admission in 2015 and interim dean of admission & financial aid for the 2019-2020 academic year. Thompson spent one year away from Andover (2009-2010) to complete a master’s degree in School Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In addition to her responsibilities in the admission office, she is a complementary house counselor and academic advisor and serves on a variety of school committees. Externally, Thompson is responsible for managing many of the admission office's outward-facing partnerships, including those with international organizations. She also serves on the Gateway to Prep Schools Board, the teaching faculty for the Enrollment Management Association's Future Leaders Program, and the Caroline D. Bradley Scholars selection committee. Thompson lives on campus with her husband, two children and yellow lab, all of whom love living in the Andover community. She enjoys yoga, traveling, fishing, and participating in campus events and activities.
