Eric Denby
Instructor in History and Social Sciences, Pemberton Cottage House Counselor, Faculty Advisor to the Class of 2028, and Assistant Coach of Boys JV2 Soccer.
Dr. Denby is a historian and instructor in the History and Social Sciences Department with specialties in modern U.S. and LGBTQ history. His dissertation, Rebel Youth: The History of LGBT Youth Organizing in Post-Stonewall America, examines the history of LGBTQ youth organizing in the U.S. from 1969 to 1993, highlighting young activists' pivotal role in shaping the LGBTQ rights movement.
He is excited to teach his new elective, Youth Power/Youth Protest, an exploration of social protest movements in the United States, paying particular attention to the role of youth. When he is not working, Dr. Denby enjoys his patio and his rescue dog, Prince.
