Amy Patel

Dr. Patel is passionate about educating adolescents about health and developing lifelong healthy habits.

Dr. Patel is a physician board certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. She completed her residencies in these programs at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Patel earned her MD degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and a BS in Biology and Community Health from Tufts University. She has extensive experience in outpatient primary care and urgent care, as well as in the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Dr. Patel is passionate about educating adolescents about health, to help them achieve their potential in high school and to develop lifelong healthy habits using validated medical information and technology. She is also the Co-Director of Wellness Education, facilitates formal and informal discussions on various health topics, and collaboratively worked on the development of the Empathy and Balance curriculum. In addition, she is a member of several committees that serve to support students holistically, and also advisor to several student clubs committed to student health and wellness.

In her spare time, Dr. Patel is an avid distance runner among other outdoor pursuits, and has traveled extensively throughout the world. She and her husband are the parents of two young children.
