‘A night to remember’

Falls Music Center dedicated

The spotlight shined on Falls Music Center with a dedication concert headlined by an array of Andover talent. Led by music department chair Abbey Siegfried, faculty curated a showcase of jazz, classical, and contemporary melodies that filled the John Barry Performance Hall with heart and soul. Performances featured the Broadway voice of Carrie St. Louis '08, a composition by Gwyneth Walker ’64, and more than 100 student musicians. Right on key with St. Louis was her PA mentor, Faculty Emeritus Christopher Walter, who accompanied on piano.

Named by the Board of Trustees in honor of the pioneering leadership of its president, Amy Falls ’82, the music center is the first new academic facility since Gelb Science Center was built more than 20 years ago. A lead campaign gift from Falls and her husband, Hartley Rogers, set the project in motion and drew more than 540 donors to join the initiative. “It is rare that a single building can represent so many values at once—tradition and innovation, excellence and accessibility, discipline and joy,” said Head of School Raynard Kington. “Falls Music Center is designed not just for learning, but also for discovery, creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.”

Thank you to every performer for sharing your talents, and to Abbey Siegfried, whose artistic vision and joyful spirit helped bring this building and celebration to life. You’ve given us a night to remember.
