Celebration of students
Head of School acknowledges excellence in character, cooperation, scholarship, and social justiceDuring the annual Community Awards dinner, the Academy celebrated 21 students from all grades. Head of School Raynard Kington and Linda Carter Griffith, associate head of school for equity, inclusion, and wellness, hosted the event along with Aquita Winslow, dean of Office of Community and Multicultural Development. The students were selected by the Student Recognition Awards Committee: Elizabeth Aureden, John Bird, Chris Capano, Monique Cueto-Potts, Linda Carter Griffith, Karina Hernandez-Guarniz, Hector Membreño-Canales, Devin O’Reilly, Julie Powers, Patrick Rielly, and Aquita Winslow.
The John Adams Kingsbury, Jr. Memorial Award
Chosen by the Head of School, this award is presented to a student of outstanding character, who, in the judgment of the Head of School, is especially distinguished for perseverance and resolution. Kierah Harris ’25

The Isabel Maxwell Hancock Award
This award is presented to a Senior who has shown depth of understanding, sensitivity, and response to the needs of others, and concern for the welfare of all. Ella Kowal ’25
The Richard Jewett Schweppe Memorial Award
This award is presented to a member of the Senior Class in recognition of an unusual spirit of cooperation and friendliness. Inti Stephenson ’25
The Russell and Sumner Burritt Stiles Award
This award is presented to the member of the Upper Class whose judgment and loyalty to the school have been exemplary. Quiana Bell ’26
The Langley C. Keyes Award
This award is presented to a student who, in the Lower year, shows outstanding qualities of character, leadership, scholarship and athletic ability. David Siahaan ’27
The Anthony Peter Wells Award
This award is presented to a member of the Junior class who has displayed outstanding qualities of loyalty, perseverance and sterling character. Christian Robinson ’28
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Award
Established in 1979, this award recognizes and encourages service toward social change offered in the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr., thereby contributing to the realization of his dream for all humankind. This award is presented to a student or students who have exemplified the ideals expressed and lived by Dr. King.
