Ice Skating Classes

Each of our group lessons features a 30-minute lesson and 30-minute free skate. 
 

TOTS:

For beginners, ages 3 yrs and up. Helmets are required. Rental skates are not available at this time.

BASIC SKILLS:

For youth, this program provides basic instruction focused on building skills, creating confidence and having fun. Gain the skills and confidence to become a self-assured recreational skater or as a first step to competitive skating, in a low pressure and enjoyable environment. Helmets are required. Rental skates are not available at this time.

Hockey Skating Skills (Sundays 6:10pm) (Off for winter season)

The Hockey curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating. Proper skating techniques for the game of hockey are the primary focus of the levels. All elements will be taught without a stick or puck. Skaters will learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, balance, use of edges and other necessary fundamentals to be successful in hockey practices and game situations.

Rising Stars (Saturdays 12:00pm) 

Rising Stars is a bridge program designed to advance basic skills skaters to a more concentrated private lesson curriculum. Skaters will learn more advanced technique and quality skills through three 20 minute groups. Each group will focus on a set of figure skating skills such as edges, stroking, spins, jumps, and axels.

This program is available for learn to skate students Basic Badge 4 and higher. Quality figure skates and skating attire is mandatory. These classes will be taught by senior level coaches and will focus on detail, quality, and technique.

Creative Skating Class (Off for winter season)

We are excited to offer a new creative skating class for our Learn to Skate skaters! This class will offer the opportunity to skate and interpret music in a fun and creative way! These lessons are designed for beginner skaters and will incorporate expression, rhythm, balance, ballet, jazz and hip hop movements.

Tots Hockey - (Fridays 1:10pm)

On Fridays at 1:10 pm, we offer a Tots Hockey program that incorporates learning to skate with an intro to hockey! Full equipment is required, as stick and pucks are used. Registration is available online only.
