      • Phillips Academy is located in Andover, Massachusetts, a short drive from Boston's Logan Airport. Andover is serviced by a commuter rail station, which is roughly a 15-minute walk from the campus (*please note that we don't recommend making this trek with all of your luggage, as it's mostly uphill!).
      • When making travel plans for your students, please schedule their arrival to campus for Tuesday, July 2, 2024 - this is our Arrival and Registration Day - and their departure on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
      • On July 2, Student Arrival & Registration Day, we will offer a complimentary shuttle bus from Logan Airport to campus (buses will be provided only on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm (10:00 and 17:00 EDT), to collect those students who have signed up for the shuttle through our Transportation Form (transportation form becomes available April 1 in the Family Portal). Weather and flight-related delays are taken into consideration for the timing of our shuttle buses. Phillips Academy representatives will be at Boston Logan International Airport to greet and assist students as they arrive. You may choose to make your own arrangements for drop-off. Families are welcome to accompany students to campus to help get them settled in, but all families must depart no later than 7pm EDT.
      • We understand that some students may not be able to arrive on campus until after July 2; please contact our office if you anticipate needing to coordinate a late arrival.
      • On August 4, Student Departure Day, we will offer a complimentary shuttle bus from campus to Logan Airport (details and sign-ups to be provided in the spring), or you may choose to make your own arrangements for pick-up. All students must be picked up no later than 2pm EST.
        • We understand that some students may have to depart campus earlier than August 4; please contact our office if you anticipate needing to coordinate an early departure.

All day students must reside with a parent/guardian within a 20-mile radius of campus for the duration of the program at Andover. If you are not local to the area, a temporary address will need to be provided to the Andover Summer office prior to the start of the program. Questions regarding our day student policies can be directed to [email protected].

      • All Lower School Day students will be required to be on campus 6 days/week (M, T, W, Th, F, and Saturday from 8:30am-9pm (Saturday is 10pm) which includes evening class/study blocks, our Tuesday night social activity and Saturday on and off-campus social activities. Lower School Day students will be assigned both a residence hall and locker as a home base during the program. Saturday off-campus programming and Saturday evening social activities are mandatory for all Lower School Day students. Lower School Day students are not required to be on campus on Sundays.
      • Upper School Day students will be required to be on campus 6 days/week (Monday-Saturday). Time on campus is dependent upon course schedule and selection of optional courses and/or afternoon activity. Upper School Day students will be assigned a locker and residence hall prior to arrival. The decision on whether to remain attached to the dorm is optional. While we strongly encourage students attending our on-campus programs to be vaccinated for both influenza and COVID-19, these vaccines are not required at this time. We will communicate if data and public health guidance suggest we need to reconsider in the future.

      • Students with symptoms of respiratory illness are expected to isolate until fever has subsided along with symptoms of virus. The length of time varies depending upon illness.
