TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION REGARDING TRAVEL PLANNING
Travel to Phillips Academy
Families are required to make their own travel arrangements to and from campus. We suggest that travel plans be arranged well in advance to adjust for changes in travel schedules necessitated by increased security and less frequent flights. If a student will be arriving to campus outside of the normal registration hours (1:00-5:00pm on June 30th), families MUST communicate travel plans with the Andover Summer office at mailto:[email protected] or by calling +1 978-749-4400.
Families are responsible for arranging ground transportation between campus and the airport for their child as Andover Summer is not able to provide airport transportation services on arrival or departure day. Flight Line has created a special account just for Andover Summer families to arrange ground transportation to and from Andover by clicking here. Additionally, families should ensure they have made proper arrangements for unaccompanied minor service (if required by the airline). For your reference, a link to the U.S. Department of Transportation Unaccompanied Minor policies can be found by clicking here.
The closest international airport to Andover is Logan International Airport, which is approximately 27miles/43km from the campus.
If you would like to try to coordinate travel plans with other families from your area, please go the the Summer Directory, which provides the names and email addresses of students and parents/guardians who have opted into the online directory. You can search by country, city or state.
