Tracy Sweet

Former All-American gymnast who now does handstands in front of famous landmarks on vacations.

Tracy Sweet joined Phillips Academy in 2007. She is responsible for Andover’s strategic communication program, overseeing all aspects of print and digital communications, including media relations. Her work extends across the academy and includes an advisory role to the Head of School and Board of Trustees.

Prior to joining Andover, she served as Assistant Vice President for Public Relations and Director of News and Information at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. In her role as chief communication officer, she oversaw marketing communications for the college’s capital campaign, website redesign, and strategic plan.

She has served on the board of the American Red Cross (Greater Manchester) and as an advisor to Leadership New Hampshire. She is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association. She has served as a conference presenter on topics ranging from media relations to strategic planning. Sweet previously served as a Senior Writer and Editor at the University of New Hampshire, and prior to that was a news reporter specializing in higher education. A native of North Kingstown, R.I., Sweet was an All-American gymnast who went on to compete at the University of New Hampshire. She holds a B.A. degree in communication from UNH.
