Elizabeth Artz Beim ’58

Director, Abbot Academy Fund.

After graduating from Abbot Academy in 1958, Elizabeth continued her education at Hollins College and The London School of Economics, where she completed graduate work in International Relations.

She was employed by the Americas Society in New York City, a not-for profit organization dedicated to promoting a better understanding of the cultures and societies of Western Hemisphere neighbors. At this organization, Elizabeth held a number of positions, including Development Officer and Senior Director of Cultural Affairs. She also served as Development and Public Affairs Officer for the Museum of the American Indian-Heye foundation.

Elizabeth is currently active in supporting the Peabody Museum, serving as a member of the Visiting Committee, Planning Committee and Advisory Board. Other boards that she serves on are The Martha’s Vineyard Museum and the Cosmopolitan Club. She previously served as a board member for Planned Parenthood of New York City and New York City Outward Bound Center.

Elizabeth resides in Riverdale, New York.
