Cristina Rubio ’81

Director, Abbot Academy Fund.

After graduating from Phillips Academy in 1981, Cristina continued her education at Harvard College and Harvard Business School (“HBS”).

Cristina worked for Goldman Sachs in New York and London before HBS and upon graduation moved to Madrid, Spain where she worked for Procter & Gamble and Loewe (currently part of the LVMH Group). In 2004, Cristina and her family moved to Asia after co-founding Impactiva, a quality assurance and lean manufacturing consulting company for the footwear and apparel industry.

Throughout her career, Cristina has been extremely interested in childhood education and has been a member of Jumpstart’s Northeast Local Advisory Board. She is also a founding member of the Cuban Studies Advisory Board at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard University.

Since graduating from Phillip Academy, Cristina has been actively involved as an Andover Alumni Admissions Representative as well as a member of the Alumni Council. Most recently, Cristina has been involved with Phillips Academy as a parent volunteer as both of her daughters are recent graduates: Sofia Suarez’12 and Natalia Suarez ’17.
