Charles “Trey” V. Brown ’12

Complementary house counselor in French House and an assistant football coach

Admission Counselor

After graduating from Andover in 2012, Trey went to Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME. In college, Trey was captain of the football team and an active member of Bowdoin’s Relay for Life and AfAm Club. He also worked as a special projects assistant in the Office of Alumni Relations and as student director of operations for the Athletic Department, where he helped recruit and interview prospective student-athletes and their parents. He graduated from Bowdoin in 2016 with a BA in economics, after which he worked as a supervisor at Foster Farms in his home state of California.

Brown is thrilled to be back at Andover. His postgraduate year in 2011-2012 was transformative. “It was easily the most meaningful year of my life, since I learned who I was and who I wanted to be,” he says. In addition to his responsibilities with Team Shuman, he is a complementary house counselor in French House (a ninth grade boys’ dorm) and an assistant football coach. He is also working with the Brotherhood, an affinity group for males of color, through the Office of Community and Multicultural Development.
