Aisha Jorge Massengill ’88

Senior Counsel, Employment for Under Armour. President of the Abbot Academy Fund.

Aisha Jorge Massengill is Managing Counsel, Employment for Under Armour, Inc. a marketer and distributor of branded performance apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and youth.  In that role she oversees employment related matters for all corporate employees in the United States and Latin America.

Aisha has more than 20 years of legal experience advising and counseling diverse organizations in the areas of labor and employment law. Prior to joining Under Armour, she was Senior Associate General Counsel at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, LLC (“APL”) in Laurel, MD where she served as a key legal advisor on all labor, employment and benefits matters for a preeminent center for engineering and scientific research and development.  Immediately prior to APL, Aisha was dual-hatted as the Senior Director for Human Resources and Senior Employment Counsel for Inovalon, Inc., a medical informatics company located in Bowie, MD.

Before that, Aisha spent 10 years with Chubb Insurance as a Senior Claims Officer managing Employment Practices Liability and Directors and Officers litigation. She began her career in Pittsburgh, PA as an associate in multiple law firms.  

Aisha is a double Eagle having graduated from Boston College, where she received her B.A. in English and Boston College Law School where she received her J.D. She is currently enrolled as an L.L.M. candidate at the Georgetown University Law Center, graduating in May 2017.

Aisha is licensed to practice in Maryland and Pennsylvania.  She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel, where she serves as a Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Committee and has been a past Co-Chair Chair of the Career Development Forum. She currently serves as President of the Abbot Academy Fund, a Not for Profit organization providing innovation grants to deserving students, faculty and staff at her alma mater Phillips Academy, where she is a 2008 inductee into the Athletic Hall of Honor.
