Andover Spanish Instructor Rachel Hyland places 4th at the Boston Marathon
Andover Spanish Instructor Rachel Hyland finished fourth at Monday's Boston Marathon. Her time of 2:44:29 placed her ahead of several favorites in the women’s division. This was Hyland’s ninth marathon and her second time running Boston. In addition to teaching, she is also a coach for Andover track and field and girls’ cross country.
After the race, Hyland spoke with the Boston Globe and was interviewed by CBS Boston.
It is not April vacation for us so I will be back at school tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll be fine.
