SUNDAY, APRIL 16, 2023

1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

God's Love We Deliver

166 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013
Available by taking the C or E to Spring or the 1 to Houston. The entrance is on the corner of Spring and 6th Avenue.

God’s Love We Deliver works to improve the health and well-being of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. Andover community members are invited to join them in achieving their mission by preparing a nutritious, high-quality meal for people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves. Tasks range from chopping meat and vegetables, ladling and packaging soup, and much more.

Dress Code: Kitchen dress code is vitally important to ensure the safety of the volunteers as well as to preserve the quality of the food. Clothing must completely cover shoulders, underarms, knees and toes. Long sleeves must be pushed above your elbows while working with food. Hair must be completely covered, including ponytails and bangs. Hairnets are provided, though you are welcome to bring a hat. No bracelets, watches or dangly earrings can be worn. Food safety is so important - especially when preparing food for the sick.

COVID-19 Safety: Volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated. Volunteers must present proof of vaccination upon entering the building. As of February 6, masks are no longer required. Individuals may voluntarily choose to wear a mask while onsite. God’s Love supports any individual who wishes to continue to wear a mask. To see a full list of the COVID-19 Safety guidelines, visit the Volunteer Protocol page. To help with social distancing, please check in a maximum of 15 minutes before your shift. Volunteers are required to sanitize their hands after signing in, and to wash their hands before and after all shifts.

Volunteer Portal: In addition to registering below, volunteers will need to register directly through the God's Love We Deliver Volunteer Portal by April 8th. Instructions for registering through the Volunteer Portal are available, but please connect with Olivia Cristaldi Lacasse if you have any questions signing up.
