Hosted by student leaders from Asian Women’s Empowerment, Morgan’s Message, and Active Minds

Free and open to the public

Current data and rising rates of depression and anxiety spreading through schools and universities warn that young peoples’ mental health has never been more precarious.

Find out what you can do about it at this fireside chat with Dr. Jenny Wang, a clinical psychologist and author on the intersections of Asian American identity, mental health, and intergenerational trauma.

Hosted by student leaders, the conversation will explore mental health and wellness topics drawn from the Andover community and how we can improve our mental health in a world that often causes us to feel anxious and distressed. The audience will leave with tools they can use today to build better mental health for tomorrow.

Wang has been a guest on Good Morning America, Today, and NPR, among other major media. A book signing, with books available for purchase, will follow the presentation.

Dr. Wang’s visit is hosted by Asian Society, Asian Women’s Empowerment, Active Minds, Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center, and Office of Community & Multicultural Development and made possible by funding from the Class of 1962 Fund, Elizabeth Rogers Instructorship, Brace Center for Gender Studies, and Office of Community & Multicultural Development.
