We're excited to have you join the Andover community!
We look forward to getting to know your family as you are our vital partners in your child’s success here. You may be wondering, “Who will support and guide my child at Andover?”
High school students, no matter how smart or accomplished they are, need reliable and consistent adult guidance. There are approximately 600 adults on the Andover campus. Many of them will see your child on a near-daily basis, providing academic guidance and support and helping your child balance studying, athletics, extracurriculars, socializing, and fun.
Your child’s core support team will be in frequent communication with one another about your student’s academic progress and physical/emotional wellness. Most importantly, your child’s primary adult contact—the house counselor for boarding students and the advisor for day students—will be in touch with you at regularly scheduled times.
In addition to house counselors and advisors, instructors, coaches, public safety officers, staff, chaplains, and peers also play a vital role in the lives of our students. These are the people that make Andover so special and why your student always has someone looking out for them.
A Message from Parents of Students of Phillips Academy (PSPA)
Parents of Students of Phillips Academy (PSPA) is an active association for all parents, regardless of geographic location. Parents of students enrolled at Phillips Academy are invited to get involved! This is a great way to meet other parents, engage with faculty and administrators, and help support student activities.
We invite you to learn more about the PSPA, Parents of Students of Phillips Academy, and our community. The PSPA is open to both day and boarding families and plans a variety of activities that are aligned with our mission. To give you a flavor, in a typical year the PSPA organizes and hosts the following:
- Parent Receptions and Informal Gatherings
- Faculty/Staff Appreciation Breakfast
- Parent Education Speakers (broadcasted live when possible)
- Class and Student Activities
- Annual Casino Night Party and Fundraiser
- Campus Closet
- Prom Reception
