Digital SAT Exams

Morse Hall is located at 16 Salem Street just before the intersection with Highland Road. Parking is available in the Gelb Science Building lot off Salem Street. Signs will be posted.

Test Day Instructions:

Students should arrive by 7:45 a.m. They will find seating charts posted in the lobby of Morse Hall. They should find their name on the seating charts and determine the room, row, and seat they will test in. Students will be called to their respective test rooms prior to 8 a.m. Parents are not allowed in the testing room or to remain in the building during testing.

If students have not completed Exam Set-up, they will not be allowed up to their testing room until it is complete, and student has access to their Admission Ticket.

Students can only be dismissed when the test finishes. The digital SAT ends at approximately 11:30 a.m. Exams with accommodations end at approximately 12:30 p.m. Students may not be dismissed early.

Students MUST HAVE the following:

  • A picture ID (Acceptable IDs are School IDs, Driver’s License or Passports.)
  • Admission Ticket -Students without an ID and Admission Ticket will not be allowed to test!
  • Testing device fully charged
  • Bluebook downloaded
  • Exam set-up complete
  • Know your College Board account log-in

Students should also bring:

  • Pencil or pen for scratch work
  • Approved calculator
  • Charging cords and or charging brick

Students should not bring the following:

  • Cell phones (can be used only for presenting Admission Ticket).
  • Smart watches, fit bits, ear buds, any device that can access the internet
  • Separate timers of any type
  • Notes, books, dictionaries, or scratch paper
  • Rulers, protractors, or compass
  • Portable audio players
  • Food or drinks, except for closed water bottles or snacks which can be consumed at the break

Wait List testing is no longer offered by College Board.

The Music Department is so honored and excited to be making our Abbot Grant, "New Music for a New Era" into reality!

Using our Abbot Academy Fund Grant, the Music Department commissioned Gwyneth Walker ’64 to write us a piece for the string orchestra! With Gwyneth's expertise and assistance, this piece will be premiered at the Spring Term Orchestra Concert in Cochran Chapel. Prior to the concert, we will be holding a reception at the Andover Inn. In the spirit of the strong Abbot legacy in music, please join us for a special evening.

Andover’s 2024 Isham Fellow in Poetry, Aimee Nezhukumatathil is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently Oceanic; a chapbook of poetry co-written with Ross Gay; and the illustrated nature essay collection World of Wonders: In Praise of Fireflies, Whale Sharks, and Other Astonishments—a New York Times bestseller and Barnes and Noble’s 2020 Book of the Year. Her honors include poetry fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, a Mississippi Arts Council grant, and the Gold Medal award in Poetry from the Independent Publishers Book Awards.

Nezhukumatathil, a professor of English and creative writing in the University of Mississippi’s MFA program, is also poetry editor for Sierra Magazine, the storytelling arm of the Sierra Club. Her book of food essays, Bite by Bite: Nourishments and Jamborees, was just published in April.

Join Marcia McCabe ’73 for this longstanding non sibi project with Citymeals on Wheels. Citymeals on Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals for homebound elderly. In previous years, Andover volunteers have helped to deliver meals. This year, the organization is asking for Andover volunteers to help with packaging meals.

Volunteers should plan to meet by 9 a.m. at the Encore Community Services located in the basement of St. Malachy's Church. As a thank you for your time and non sibi spirit, Marcia will host a brunch for all volunteers after the project at a restaurant (TBD) nearby.
