ACT Exam — Saturday, April 11, 2026 

All ACT exams, including those with accommodations, will be held in the Snyder Center. 

ACT Test Day Instructions 

This is a paper-and-pencil test. Students should arrive at the Snyder Center by 7:45 am. Seating charts will be posted in the lobby. Please wait for proctors to call students to their testing seats. Students will be seated at approximately 8:00 am. Students who arrive after 8:00 am are considered late and may forfeit their seat.  

Breakfast 

Breakfast will be available in the Commons beginning at 7:00 a.m. 

Stand-By Testing 

Students wishing to test on a Stand-By basis must have a Stand-By Admission Ticket available at www.actstudent.org. Stand-By students’ seat assignments will be listed at the end of the respective seating chart. 

Parent Information 

Parents are not allowed in the testing room or to remain in the test building during the test. 

Students MUST HAVE: 

• Proper identification (driver’s license, passport, or school ID)
• Printed ACT Admission Ticket 

Students Should Bring: 

• Sharpened #2 pencils
• A good eraser
• Approved calculator (with extra batteries)
• Snacks and water for breaks 

Students Should NOT Bring: 

• Cell phones, smart watches, Fitbits, or earbuds
• Books or papers
• Pens, highlighters, or colored pencils
• Recording or other electronic devices 

Dismissal Information 

Students may only be dismissed when the test is finished. ACT (without Writing) ends at approximately 12:35 pm. ACT Plus Writing normally ends at approximately 1:30 pm. Students may not be dismissed early. Extended time (without writing) ends at approximately 2 pm.

Join the Southern California Regional Leadership Team at Willowbrook Community Garden to clean up community garden beds and enjoy family-friendly Earth Day activities. Volunteers will assist with planting, gardening, pulling weeds, and other maintenance. All ages are welcome to join!

Lunch food is not available for purchase at the garden. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and stay after the project to eat, socialize, and enjoy the Earth Day celebration! 

Dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty! Bring water bottles, sunscreen, and a hat. 

Willowbrook Community Garden is operated in connection with the Los Angeles Community Garden Council. Andover will be volunteering as part of a larger event that welcomes members of the public; there will be other volunteers present for the Earth Day event.

Participants will be required to sign a form which will be available at the event, indicating agreement with the Los Angeles Community Garden Council Volunteer Guidelines and Waiver of Liability.

The mission of the Los Angeles Community Garden Council is to strengthen communities by building and supporting community gardens where every person in Los Angeles County can grow healthy food in their neighborhood.

Non Sibi Project with the Atlanta Regional Leadership Team:
Rose Circle Park Community Garden Workday

Join the Atlanta Regional Leadership Team for a fun day in the garden! Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks, including weeding, mulching, planting, and beautifying the space. No prior gardening experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and enjoy working outdoors. Children ages 8 and older are welcome to join! Volunteers must also register on the Hands on Atlanta portal and sign the waiver. The link to the portal will also be in your confirmation email.

Barring heavy downpours, this project will occur during light rain or sunshine. Please be prepared and dress for various weather conditions. Wear closed-toed shoes and bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a water bottle, and a snack. All materials will be provided, including gloves and gardening tools. 

Food Well Alliance provides resources and support to local growers to connect and build healthier communities. The organization supports more than 300 community gardens, urban farms, and orchards in the Atlanta region.

Community Expectations

Join us in preparing a catered lunch for clients of Rosie's Place in Boston. Volunteers will work with Rosie's Place professional dining staff to prepare, cook, plate, and serve lunch. After lunch, volunteers will help tidy up by collecting dishes and cleaning tables. Volunteers must be 16 years or older.

Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women-only shelter in the United States. What began as a safe place for poor and homeless women to get a bed and a meal in Boston has grown into a community center providing wide-ranging support and education services to 12,000 women a year.

Join us for this special non sibi project and make a difference supporting Gaining Ground! Volunteers will take part in spreading compost and mulch to enrich the soil, transplanting seedlings from the greenhouse into the fields, and maintaining perennial hedgerows, among other tasks. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to participate.

This project will take place outside. Dress appropriately for the weather and farm work. All volunteers are required to fill out Gaining Ground's waiver form.  

Gaining Ground is a non-profit farm that grows fresh, organic produce exclusively for donation to those experiencing food insecurity in the Greater Boston area.100% of the food harvested at Gaining Ground is donated to over fifteen local hunger relief organizations.

Rittenhouse Square Clean Up Non Sibi Project with
the Philadelphia Regional Leadership Team

Register Now 

Join us for this special non sibi project with the Philadelphia Regional Leadership Team at Rittenhouse Square! Volunteers will assist in cleaning and restoring benches around the park and painting fences, among other tasks. Registrants must be 18 years or older to participate.

Friends of Rittenhouse Square's mission is to preserve, protect, and beautify. Rittenhouse Square has not lost its original character largely because of the businesses and individuals who make up the Friends of Rittenhouse Square. The Friends have taken on the bulk of the financial responsibility to sustain Rittenhouse Square, ensuring the park and neighborhood remain vibrant.

Volunteers will participate in an Earth Week project with The Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Project activities will be designated closer to the start date, but may include planting, mulching, painting or clean-up. Supervised children 5 and older are welcome to join.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park is a 897-acre public park located in Queens, New York, with a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. Originally a landfill known as the Corona Ash Dump, the site was transformed into a sprawling park by the influential urban planner Robert Moses during the 1930s. Moses oversaw the development of the park as the host for the 1939-1940 World's Fair.

Alumni, families, and friends of Andover are invited to a

Naval Cemetery Landscape Earth Day Non Sibi Project with
Roderic L. Rolett ’75
 

Roll up your sleeves and join fellow alumni to steward the beautiful Naval Cemetery Landscape (NCL) and adjacent Greenway, located next to the Brooklyn Navy Yard and managed by the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative (BGI). BGI will guide volunteers in the identification and targeted removal of a variety of invasive plants and vines, as well as tree stewardship, including weeding and aerating tree pits. The work involves easy to moderate physical activity, and the Student Conservation Association provides gloves, tools, instructions, and plant identification. 

This is a family-friendly non sibi project, all ages are welcome to participate! Volunteers are asked to print and sign the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative waiver form. For volunteers under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the form.  

Andover will be volunteering as part of a larger Earth Day event that welcomes members of the public.

Naval Cemetery Landscape

Student Conservation Association (SCA) is the largest provider of hands-on environmental conservation programs for teens and young adults. Program participants protect and restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural landmarks, and community green spaces across the country. The SCA is devoted to building access to nature for all, providing green job opportunities for young people, and teaching members how to become environmental stewards.
