Andover placed 2nd out of 5 teams in both the varsity and JV races. Led by Giacomo Marino '18 and captain Holden Ringer '17, the varsity boys finished just 2 points behind Loomis, and the JV boys fell just behind NMH with a tie broken at the 6th runner.
Despite the wet and cold, it was a great day for the Blue out at NMH today. The varsity boys finished a close second. Giacomo Marino '18 finished 1st for Andover, 4th overall, in 17:18. He was followed by captain Holden Ringer '17 in 17:21, Jacob Buehler '19 in 18:01, and Nathan Goldthwaite '18 in 18:06, who took 5th through 7th overall, respectively. Alex Fleury '20 made a brilliant high-school debut, finishing 5th for Andover, 14th overall. The varsity squad was rounded out by Sam Tobin '18 and Spencer Davis '18, both in 18:38, Sebastian Bishop '17 in 19:03, and Ethan Brown '17 in 20:15. The JV boys also finished second, but closer still with a tie through the 5th which was broken at the 6th. Alex Emerson '17 won a dramatic footrace to finish 1st for Andover, 2nd overall, in 19:09. Anthony Minickiello '20 ran a strong debut race to place 4th overall in 19:14. Jake Zanazzi '18 finished in 19:36, Jack O'Neil '19 in 20:09, David Cohen '18 in 20:37, and Riley Gillis '19 in 21:49.
