Andover defeats Choate at home
At home on October 10, 2015 at 2:30 PM
With a dominant first half, Andover wins at home to remain undefeated after six games
Andover made a strong start to the game on Saturday with quick breaks down both the left and right. At the other end, Choate was probing but unable to trouble the Andover defense. After a couple of near misses, Andover found the net when Roberto Rabines '16 played Andrei Dumitrescu '18 in behind, and with only the keeper to beat, Dumitrescu struck well and scored at the near post. Andover lifted the tempo after scoring and only a few minutes later, captain Alex Dziadosz '16 collected a ball in the middle and drove the ball cleanly inside the post from distance. The score remained 2-0 at the half but it wasn't long into the second period that the Big Blue struck again. After some great work to recover a ball along the endline, Henry Meyerrose then finished the play after a scrum in front of the Choate goal. Choate battled back and scored on a quick free kick in the final minutes. A strong team performance from Andover that bodes well for the challenges ahead.
