Billy Stahley scores 32 seconds into overtime as team starts season 3-0.
Goaltender Matt Schoen made 42 saves to help lift his team to a thrilling overtime victory vs. a strong, big, and talented St. Paul's squad. 22 of those saves came in the third period. Upper Jonny Edelson continued to have the hot hand as he opened the scoring with a backhand bullet that hit the top corner only 32 seconds into the game. St. Paul's tied it up soon after. Schoen was forced to make some key saves to keep the score tied 1-1. Andover found itself in the penalty box five times, but the pesky PK unit and Schoen's acrobatics kept the opposing PP at bay. Collin Nugent gave the blue the lead in the second and Schoen's sprawling save on a breakaway preserved the lead as the period ended. St. Paul's fired back in the third to tie the game and it was on to overtime. Just 28 seconds into the overtime, electric winger Ty Levine got the puck to Nugent as he broke into the St. Paul's zone and threaded a nifty pass across the high slot to Center Billy Stahley who onetimed the puck high into the open net for the game winner.
