Admission Associate

The parent of two Phillips Academy graduates – Olivia ’11 and Jake ’14 – and past president of Parents of Students of Phillips Academy (PSPA), Susan Howell brings a unique, firsthand perspective to her role as admission associate, with the primary role of interviewing prospective students. As president of PSPA, Howell promoted communication among parents, faculty, and administrators, while organizing events and fundraisers in support of the Academy. She draws from professional experience in educational publishing, marketing textbooks to colleges and universities; and a career in residential construction, with a primary focus on marketing. A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in psychology, Howell also serves on the board of directors for Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity.

“I enjoy sharing the positive experience our family has had here,” she says, “serving as a resource for students and parents in terms of what to expect, opportunities for parent involvement, and answering the many questions families have when considering Andover.”
