Michael Legaspi P’14, ’15, ’22

Mike Legaspi first came to Phillips Academy as a philosophy instructor in the 2001 Summer Session. He returned in subsequent summers and was part of the ‘year-round’ Andover faculty between 2010 and 2014. Dr. Legaspi has taught at the university level (Creighton University, Pennsylvania State University), and he has published academic books and articles in the fields of intellectual history and biblical studies. At Andover, Dr. Legaspi teaches a variety of courses, along with coaching martial arts. He holds a B.A. in Near Eastern Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Harvard University. He lives on campus with his family, which includes a Yorkshire Terrier named Grumio.
