I love teaching/coaching at Andover because the energy of the place keeps me fueled. Every fall we face new charges with different personalities and talents. Coaching at Andover means one must adjust to each year's talent pool. This keeps us on our toes and current. Each day I arise before sun up and walk the few short steps to get to the gym. By the time I finish my workout, along with a few other morning faculty and staff, I am charged and ready to go. The day just sails by after that. It is great that we get to serve in so many different roles. It is an invigorating challenge that I welcome. Working at a boarding school is a life style choice. It is not for everyone, but for someone like me it keeps me alive. I love to try new things. I have shot some rapids, kayaked in Alaska, fished at 9,000', and tandem jumped out of a perfectly good airplane...twice! My current passions are, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and shooting with my bride around the beautiful Sangre DeCristo Mountains in the Lower Rockies that surround our home in Taos, NM.
