Corrie Martin

Instructor in English, CAMD Coordinator, Tang Fellow, Advisor, GSA, Asian Women Empowerment, Andover Writers' Alliance

I choose to teach English because language is a matter of beauty and also of life, death, and justice, not to mention, truth. As a literature and writing instructor, I am motivated by Rebecca Solnit's sentence: “The revolt against brutality begins with a revolt against the language that hides brutality.” My own revolt began at Punahou School and took me to the University of Hawaii (BA) and the University of California, Irvine (MA).
