Andrea Nix

Andrea Nix and her artist husband Jonathon live in a converted mill in Lawrence.

Andrea Nix joined Phillips Academy as director of finance and assistant treasurer in 2012. She had spent 11 years in financial management at the Arnold Arboretum and Brandeis University, and before that, was chief financial officer at Miss Hall’s School in Pittsfield, MA. A native of New Hampshire, Nix is an alumna of Dana Hall School. She earned a B.A. from Smith College and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University. She was awarded the CPA Certificate in 1984 and went on to work in public accounting for KPMG. She is also the board chair of the Justice Resource Institute, a Boston-area non-profit which administers over 100 programs for children and young adults with serious physical and mental health challenges. 

She and her artist husband Jonathon live in a converted mill in Lawrence and maintain a home in the Berkshires, where they enjoy the rich cultural offerings and the beautiful natural environment.
