Alumni, families, and friends of Andover
are cordially invited to participate in a contactless non sibi project for

Seattle Community Fridges and Little Free Pantries
with the Seattle Regional Leadership Team

Saturday, January 1, 2022
through
Monday, January 31, 2022
Join alumni across the country who contributed to similar projects in
a Zoom gathering on Tuesday, January 25th at 8 p.m. ET
We'll talk about our experience, connect with each other, and reflect on how we’re doing.

Food insecurity was a national issue that the COVID-19 pandemic greatly amplified. In the true spirit of resilience and community care, fridges popped up around the country with free and available food for anyone in need.

The motto of the fridges is simple: take what you need, leave what you can. We've heard from partner organizations in the past that giving drops off after the holidays, so for this Seattle centric non sibi project, we’re asking that you help out at one of these fridges in honor and recognition of the continued need and resilience of our city. You can help by restocking a fridge with fresh items you’ve purchased (or grown!) and/or go the extra mile by taking a few minutes to quickly clean the fridge by wiping it down with your own cleaning supplies (using gloves and wipes). A map of locations can be found here.

Suggested restock items include fresh produce, eggs, dairy (milk, cheese) and bread. Please be sure to review the Food and Safety Donation Guidelines.
You can check Seattle Community Fridge's Facebook and Instagram for updates on fridge status and capacity.

If the Community Fridge's aren't accessible to you, there are Little Free Pantries located around the city
where you can donate shelf-stable food and goods. Find a pantry and more information here.

We encourage volunteers to snap a photo (bonus points for wearing Andover gear in your restock selfie)!
Submit your photo to Olivia Cristaldi Lacasse by 2/1/22 for entry to win a non sibi t-shirt.

Kindly RSVP here for donation reminders or guidance.
