10 a.m. to noon PT

The Golden Gate Audubon Society
North Lake
Meet at the corner of JFK Drive and Chain of Lakes Drive East.

Join members of the Golden Gate Audubon Society along with the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department gardeners in a volunteer workparty. Participants will meet at North Lake in Golden Gate Park for a project focusing on habitat restoration. These volunteers will support this vital wildlife habitat by weeding or tending to native plants.

Please review the volunteer waiver.

Barring heavy downpours, this non sibi event will occur during light rain or sunshine. Please be prepared and dress for various weather conditions. Please wear closed-toed shoes, long pants and layers of clothing. Gloves, a water bottle, and a snack is always a good idea.

This event is family-friendly for children ages 8 and over accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Space is limited to 25 volunteers.

For anyone interested, we will meet for lunch and socialize afterward.

Kindly RSVP here or contact Crystal McGuire in the Office of Alumni Engagement with questions.

In consideration of the health and safety of our Andover community, we ask that attendees be fully vaccinated and wear masks for indoor events. Please note, the Academy considers fully vaccinated to include a booster dose. We will require all attendees to adhere to the public health guidelines established by the CDC and your state and local health officials, as well as to follow venue guidelines and regulations that are in place at the time of the event. Prior to attending, we ask that you monitor your health. If you are feeling unwell, please plan to stay home. In the spirit of non sibi, the Academy trusts that those in attendance will follow these guidelines.
