Any computer connecting to the academy network must be safe (free of viruses and malware) and have an up-to-date (operating system). Please follow the steps below carefully to clean your computer and prepare it for network connectivity. The academy provided antivirus software for Windows and Macintosh computers is a requirement.

Failure to follow these steps will result in your inability to connect to the academy network.

1. Download Anti-Virus and Spyware Protection

1. Download and install Trend Anti-virus which is available FREE to all current students and faculty.
2. Run Trend and Scan the drive.
3. Download and install Ad-Aware and Spybot.
4. After the install is complete, reboot the computer.

1. On reboot, prior to Windows loading, press the F8 key until it responds with a prompt.
2. Choose Safe Mode with Networking.
3. Run Ad-Aware and Spybot on the drive. See directions at Spyware/Adware Removers page.
4. Reboot the computer into Windows as normal.

When the computer is clean, upgrade to the latest service pack
