| PAnet
Account |
| PAnet
is the academy Intranet. Accounts are automatically created
by a nightly process. Each student or employee that is entered
in Datatel will receive a PAnet account, which includes: network
access, email, document storage,
and department/class share access. For administrative faculty
and staff, the department that the new employee is becoming
a part of needs to fill out a TT1
form. Once the account is created the new individual will
receive their account name and password into the systems.

| Network
Connectivity |
| Student
connectivity is entirely automated. At the beginning of the
year you are supplied with a Username
and Password that you enter into
our QIP server. This information is delivered to your student
mailbox in GW Hall. When you enter the login information, you
will automatically be assigned an IP number and have network
accessibility. You will need a computer that meets the minimum
specifications. If you have forgotten or lost your
username and password, go to the PACC, in the basement of the
Library, for assistance. CLICK
HERE for instructions for
connecting to the network from the dorm.
Please Note:
You can obtain a network cable (Category 5 Patch Cable) from
any computer supply store. They are also provided in the PACC
for a fee of $5.00.

| Wireless

be in a wireless network environment and have a computer with
a wireless network card installed. To connect, you will need
to follow set-up directions for your Macintosh

computer (personally owned computers only). To print, you
will need to follow the directions for Macintosh

Storage Services |
Document
Storage Services allow faculty, staff and students to save
their documents on a server on the academy network.
Faculty and students can access their documents from off campus,
as well as, on campus. By using an academy owned Windows computer
and saving to the My Documents folder, the documents will
synchronize with the server for access from other locations.
There are different methods for Macintosh and Windows computers
to access the document storage servers (facstaffdocs.andover.edu
and studentdocs.andover.edu).
