Following
are general highlights of Phillips Academy's benefits. Eligibility
for most of these provisions require that an employee be scheduled to work
at least 1,000 hours per year.
Medical
Insurance
Phillips Academy
offers a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plan and a
Point of Service (POS) plan through Harvard Pilgrim Health
Care. Both plans feature comprehensive coverage for
a wide range of preventive and medical services, including
routine office visits, well-baby care, immunizations, hospitalization
and worldwide emergency care, and prescription drug coverage.
Dental Insurance
Phillips Academy
offers the Delta Premier dental insurance plan through Delta
Dental of Massachusetts. The plan covers diagnostic and preventive
care, including routine check ups, and restorative care, including

Retirement Savings
Phillips
Academy offers a defined contribution plan and a tax deferred
annuity plan through TIAA-CREF. Through the defined contribution
plan, eligible employees contribute five percent of their
salary and the academy contributes 10 percent. The tax deferred
annuity is a supplemental plan through which all employees
can make pre-tax salary deferrals for extra retirement savings.

Through
this plan, employees can cover certain medical insurance premiums,
