ANDOVER, Mass.— Phillips Academy will hold an open house for
prospective day students and their families from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 2, in Cochran Chapel. The program will include a discussion
of the application process, financial aid, life as a day student
at Andover and life as a day students parent.
Campus
tours will be available following the program. In addition, visitors
are welcome to attend a student theatre production of "The
Bad Seed" by Maxwell Anderson at 3 p.m. and to view the fall
exhibitions at the Addison Gallery of American Art, open 1-5 p.m.
Sunday.
Phillips
Academy accepts new students in all grades, 9-12 and a postgraduate
year. Students who live in the following towns and cities may apply
to Andover as day students:

Boxford, Bradford, Dracut, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Lawrence,
Lowell, Lynnfield, Methuen, Middleton, North Andover, North Reading,
Reading, Tewksbury, Wilmington;

Phillips
Academy, better known as Andover, is a coeducational independent
high school of 1,087 students, known for its extensive and rigorous
academic program. A diverse community of teachers and students,
the academy was founded in 1778. Notable alumni include Oliver Wendell
