Now a managing principal at the Quadrangle Group, a private, multi-strategy investment firm, Joshua Steiner started his career in the field of politics and public service. Formerly a managing director in the Media and Communications Group of Lazard Freres & Company, he has previously served as chief of staff at the United States Department of the Treasury, special assistant to the deputy Secretary of the Treasury, and executive assistant to the president of the New York Public Library.
Steiner earned a B.A. degree at Yale and a master’s degree in modern history at Oxford University.
He serves as a trustee of the New York Public Library and The Enterprise Foundation of New York, which helps develop and maintain affordable housing. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where he serves on the board of advisors of Foreign Affairs.
For PA, Steiner has served on the Andover Development Board and as a class agent. As a student, he received the Kingsbury and Phillipian prizes, was business manager of the Phillipian student newspaper, played lacrosse, ran track and served as cluster president.
Steiner is married to Antoinette Delruelle; they have three children. His sister, Elizabeth Steiner Hayward, is a member of the class of 1981. |
