Addison Gallery Kicks Off a New Season

The Addison Gallery kicks off the first full season of its 75th Anniversary events on Friday, September 29 with a gala opening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. that is open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Following is list of upcoming Addison events.

Friday, September 29, 5:00 pm

Gallery Talk with exhibiting artist Jennifer Bartlett, followed by the

Opening Reception for Fall Exhibitions. 5:30 – 7:30 pm

Wednesday Lunch Series: Bring your lunch and enjoy a tour of Coming of Age: American Art 1850s to 1950s given by museum staff.

Wednesday Lunch Series:  Bring your lunch and enjoy a tour of Jennifer Bartlett: Early Plate Work given by museum staff.

Gallery Talk Coming of Age: American Art, 1850s to 1950s with co-curators William Agee (PA 1955), Professor of Art History at Hunter College, City University of New York, and Susan Faxon, Addison Curator of Art before 1950

Wednesday Lunch Series:  Bring your lunch and enjoy a tour of Wendy Ewald: American Alphabets given by museum staff. 

Saturday, November 4, 8:45 am-5:00 pm

Coming of Age: A Symposium exploring a century of art and artists.  Eight noted scholars from across the country will present research relating to the artistic and cultural developments reflected in the exhibition, Coming of Age: American Art, 1850s to 1950s
