Sarah Lawrence-Lightfoot Visit

Esteemed Harvard sociologist and author Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot spoke on the concepts of curiosity, witness, and respect reflected in the photographs of Dawoud Bey during her visit to campus on October 26. Bey's work--which features photographic portraits of Phillips Academy and Lawrence High School teenagers--is currently showcased at the Addison Gallery of American Art. Lawrence-Lightfoot is known for her work examining the culture of schools, the patterns and structures of classroom life, socialization with families and communities, and the relationships between cultures and learning styles.
