The First Annual Non Sibi Day 2007
September 15, 2007
More than 2,000 students, faculty, and alumni helped kick-off PA's first annual Non Sibi Day by participating in community service projects located all around the globe. The cumulative effect of that effort--whether measured in terms of tons of trash cleaned up, pounds of vegetables picked, or numbers of people helped--is inspiring. Perhaps even more important is the reminder of the meaning of PA's motto--"not for self."
On the following pages are snapshots from just a small portion of the projects in which PA volunteers participated. Among the photos shown here are snapshots of local volunteers cleaning up the Spicket River, making baby blankets for Room to Grow, conducting soccer and football clinics, helping out at a farm that provides therapeutic riding services, and preparing and serving food at shelters in Lawrence and Boston. There are also photos of PA volunteers working at similar projects at locations around the country, including Chicago, Dallas, New York, Nashville, and San Francisco.
Enjoy....and a BIG thanks to all who participated!
