Phillips Academy held its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration on January 19, 2009. Dr. Benjamin Carson, a world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon and author, served as the keynote speaker, opening the day with an inspiring speech in front of the entire student body in Cochran Chapel. Over the course of the remainder of the day, students, faculty and staff were able to participate in more than 20 different workshops, presentations and community service projects.The day's activities were organized by the Community and Multicultural Development Office (CAMD).
