Harry Potter Theme Night

Dinner at UnCommons took on a decidedly magical air Thursday night, as the building’s cavernous dining area was transformed into a replica of the Great Hall of Hogwarts. Members of the PA community came dressed as wizards, witches and muggles and feasted on such wizarding-world fare as butter beer and pumpkin pastries. The event was a light-hearted way to say good-bye to the former hockey rink, which has served so admirably as an interim dining facility during the renovation of Commons. The newly renamed Paresky Commons will resume operation on March 29 after spring break. Among the more notable characters at the Thursday dinner were Albus Dumbledore, played by art instructor Stephen Wicks, Lord Voldemort, played by theatre and dance instructor Mark Efinger, and Professor McGonagall, played by associate dean of faculty Susan McCaslin.
