This collection of photos provides a sneak peek of the completed interior of Paresky Commons, which is all but ready for its March 29 opening. While three of the dining halls retain their same basic look as before (aside from new tables), the lower left dining hall, now called Alger Hall, takes on a café appearance, complete with a standing bar area for drinks and snacks, and informal benches, couches and armchairs that create a relaxed atmosphere. Meanwhile, the two downstairs serveries have become one high-tech kitchen space, complete with a salad bar, deli service station, and a floor-to-ceiling pizza oven. The two second floor serveries sport a “Euro kitchen” feel, and , among other things, provide students access to seven waffle irons and pannini makers. Down in the basement, a totally revamped and expanded student lounge, formerly called the Ryley Room, will give students a welcome place to socialize and unwind.
