On Thursday, November 5, alumni, parents, students, and faculty gathered on campus to mark the public announcement of The Campaign for Andover, Building on the Surest Foundation. The Academy leadership thanked donors and offered remarks about the relevance of an Andover education. During the program in the chapel, Fidelio performed Every Night When the Sun Goes Down, composed by Gwyneth Walker ’64—a piece she wrote in memory of her father. Vocalist Charlene Sadberry ’99 provided a heartfelt and inspiring performance of “The Power of One.” Later, in The Smith Center, guests were treated to “Royal Blue” sung by the Yorkies and a rousing Andover cheer performed by SLAM.
