Nearly 200 people, including alums from as far back 1955, enjoyed a weekend of fellowship and thoughtful discussion as participants in the 40th anniversary celebration of the PA Afro-Latino-American Society. Held April 3-5, the event kicked off on Friday night with a speech by CNN broadcast correspondent Soledad O’Brien. During the remainder of the weekend, attendees participated in panel discussions, enjoyed student musical performances, and socialized with old and new friends. The event also provided an opportunity for older alums to begin to establish mentoring relationships with current students and younger alums.
